Stonewall
The brief:
As part of its annual business planning, Stonewall, the UK’s largest LGBT charity, commissioned experts in their field to write a thought-leadership piece for the charity. Paul was asked to review the fundraising landscape and provide recommendations as to how Stonewall could overcome sector challenges and capitalise on opportunities during the year ahead and beyond.

Our approach:
Paul provided a comprehensive response that placed emphasis on three key themes:
-
Supporter quality over quantity – acquiring and developing the right type of supporter, rather than an unremitting emphasis on the quantity of individuals acquired in any given year
-
Long-termism over short-termism – highlighting a more patient, considered approach to fundraising, which will generate greater return on investment
-
Execution over opportunism – the best results can be achieved by pursuing tried and tested practices and simply executing them better than anyone else

What they said:
"Paul is one of the leading expert strategic fundraisers operating at the moment. His insight and thoughtfulness about Stonewall's strategic approach provided much needed clarity to the board and executive about where we were going wrong and what we needed to do differently. I wouldn't hesitate utilising the expertise of Paul in the future." Ruth Hunt, CEO
