The Listening Place

The brief:

This dynamic start-up charity, which provides volunteer-led face to face support for people experiencing suicidal thoughts, was looking to consolidate its position. After a rapid period of growth, the Listening Place was preparing for its next stage of development. They asked Paul to codify their current practice and to provide advice as to how they could scale-up their operations.

Our approach:

Paul conducted detailed interviews with all Listening Place staff and key volunteers. He then collated all existing operating materials and synthesised the information into a comprehensive signposting document. This provided a vital institutional record of the organisation’s ethos, approach and the infrastructure that makes their work possible.

This in-depth knowledge of the organisation also gave Paul the ability to provide informed advice to the as to how the Listening Place team could successfully build the organisation in a sustainable fashion.
