The ME Trust
The brief:
A small, but highly effective charity, The ME Trust provides treatment and support for people affected by ME / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Clients suffer from a range of symptoms including extreme exhaustion, muscle and joint pain and cognitive impairment. The trustees asked Paul to present at their away day, advising the charity on how it could expand sustainably and support more people.
Our approach:
Paul delivered an engaging and interactive presentation. This included an organisation SWOT analysis, the principles of effective fundraising, income generating options and, critically, guidance as to how the ME Trust could practically apply these techniques, given its limited resources.
What they said:
"Paul Stein’s presentation to staff and trustees was so very helpful and accessible. Inspiring clinical teams about fundraising can be a challenging task but everyone attending rated the day very highly. It was a ten star day with everyone feeling heard and involved. Since that occasion a number of the recommendations have been put in place and the Director knew that Paul would be available to advise should the need arise. The ME Trust is likely to use this consultancy as its work progresses and the fundraising need escalates." Gareth Tuckwell, Chair of the Board of Trustees
